Flummoxed by a couple.

Take tea crossing motorway in unconventional region (7)

Hard in centre of clubland to get a dance for oldies (5)

I was pretty confident of the checked letters but am now wavering.

Your L is wrong in the first (though I had to Google the tea!)

...as is the A at the end of the second.

(the A and L should in fact be vice versa)

I got the other with your hint, spoffy - it's a contraction of a longer word for a dance.

Thanks to you both. I had put the double LL in FALLALERY in the wrong place!

(If asked, I would have guessed that the tea was a Biblical kingdom!)

The dance originally was "branle" or "bransle".
