Grab = put something inside
Stuff = matter
S matter ing.

I was sure "sort of pot one throws" was lobster, but I guess it's pitcher, and "fret about the wings in navigating part of an airfield must be hangar, which seems to use haar to mean fret.

I liked the Hangar clue - the Fret/Haar you mentioned and the wings, letters at either end of 'navigating'. Ha ng ar. I thought it was quite clever.

A haar is a local word for a sea-mist or sea-fret.

To me a fret is the bars of a fireplace, so called because a fret saw was used to make the pattern from which it was cast.

Trebor... Haar is much loved by crossword setters - it's an odd-looking word, not known everywhere. Being Scottish, I've grown up with the word!
