Whilst Chambers is a very worthy tome, it is seriously lacking when it comes to having decent plot. I mean, it's not even a case of 'The Butler Did It'.

I think there would be a very good case for taking it as the Bible on Desert Island Discs. After all, all the words would be in it.

If you had the Oxford English Dictionary on your island, you could build a house out of it.

Bullfrog - have found some of the humerous defin itions and see what you mean about them.
This is the 11th edition dated 2009. I am sure it is going to be very useful and informative.
