Either this lockdown has scrambled my brains or it is a tough one. Someone asked for the answer to 1d "exceptional clue" and the answer was given as "signal" as a double definition. How does signal =exceptional please?
1a and 4a will either get me started or they will be so obscure that I will abandon all hope.
1a "Like this stand right?" is s???? but no idea what clue is on about.
4a Immoral young woman longed to grab uniform. D???????d. I assume we want a word meaning immoral but despite playing about with miss and even , can't think of anything.

Loubyloo, 'signal' = exceptional because one definition of signal is 'remarkable, notable'. It's not used very often, but I have seen it - a signal victory for the cricket team, say.

4 Debauched, immoral. Deb, young woman, Ached, longed, and U, uniform. Deb a u ched.

1 A. Sober, like this stand right, one of those 'definition is the whole thing' clues.

So = Like this
Be = stand
R = right.

Loubyloo, the setter, Dean Mayer, is one I often grapple with! I didn't particularly enjoy this week's puzzle.
