Good morning solvers, Hoping everyone's keeping safe and well. Could you please recommend a good compendium of cryptic crossword to get me through my isolation. I do the "i" daily, and the Private Eye fortnightly. The Times is a bit too tough, and not a fan of the Telegraph.
Thanks,

Hi pepsi1000
The Guardian has a massive archive, here:
https://www.theguardian.com/crosswords
They have the advantage over the Telegraph that the compilers are named. The cryptics are of variable standard - Chifonie and Vulcan for example are usually easy.
The Quiptic ones are intended to be easier too, though that isn't always the case.
You can also find all solutions and parsings dating back many years on "fifteensquared" here:

Thanks chrise, I do sometimes have a stab at the Guardian on line, but I prefer to do a paper version, my laptop and phone being a bit antiquated. I will research a book of Guardian crosswords on mail order.
Thanks for your help and stay well, and safe.

Hi pepsi
I'm a Guardian subscriber, but I always go online for the crossword, so I don't hog the paper. I prefer a pen in hand too, so I print it off, usually on pre-used paper.

I think thats the answer, having just been on Amazon and the Guardian cryptic compendium is £26. I might as well get a cheap printer and stop being so paper-centric.
Thanks again, chrise.
