Curious to see that this week’s is credited to My0ps rather than Myops. Dunno if it’s significant, just curious.

Anyway, all done. Can’t really see how 11 ac works.

Book 8 beast (4)

I have N*A*. I think it’s “neat” but not sure why.

6d Ned if roused (5) looks like an anagram but not sure why it might be fiend.

Well spotted!

11a. Neat are ovine animals but I don't get the book connection.

6d. I suppose a fiend is roused.

11a Neat are cows not sheep?

I thought Noah but can't find an animal other than an Australian slang word for a shark!

I think Scottish cows are " neat". Google says ovine means resembling sheep.

I should have asked about 10ac too.

East of Eden: "abroad" (3). Must be NOD which is fine for East of Eden but I can't fit "abroad" into it.

Re 11a, neat is an anagram of ante, meaning bet or book as in bookmaker. Can't think of anything else.

Re 11a - Book 8 beast (4)
I think the parsing is B(ook)OVINE thus giving BOVINE linking to NEAT
