Despite jet lag and a narrow escape from Florida I have it finished but cannot parse 8d Dish stirred by spooner (8,6) SLEEPING BEAUTY.

Useful thread, I was stumped on parsing most of these (Clincher, Sleeping Beauty - very obscure usage of 'spoon', Foster - never heard of the nursery rhyme), and also this one:
17a Bold supporter about to stand up and resist (13)
Swashbuckling?
And puzzled by 42d Surgery inspired by doctor's passionate, delicate touch (4-4). Is a drop-shot a delicate touch? I thought it was some sort of kick in rugby.

Also don't understand 3d Bit of a chicken wanting time off (5). Seems to be 'thigh'.
I completed the bottom half of the puzzle except for 33d but hardly got anywhere on top half, as if it had been compiled by two different setters.

17a S WASH BUCK LING

WASH, to stand up, be plausible (it won't wash) + BUCK, resist, in SLING, support
