5 Sconces, where you'd keep candles/things with wicks! It's Scones, cakes, with C, a hundred inside.

14 Yes - Elk,large animal - back reversed. inside Ant, one that's six feet, insect.

Many thanks malone. It was the six feet that beat me and I thought sconces but didn’t see the wicked bit as in candles but as in bad !

I liked wicked, having a wick, candle etc the first few times I saw it used in crosswords, but the novelty's worn off for me now!
