Can anyone help me with the last two clues please?

20d: Some elite academic betrayal, maybe, better for logic? (9)

I have O - T - E - - - N

36a: Openings in colonnade showing dull interior (7)

I have - - O - A - A

All the letters appear to be correct. For info, the 7th letter of 20d forms the first letter of 36a.

36 Stomata, openings ( a medical term, I think) Stoa is the colonnade and Mat is the 'dull' inside it (interior).

Thanks Malone. I haven’t come across that term before. And I wouldn’t have thought of the OU as “elite” - rather the opposite, in fact! But who knows what goes on in the mind of the compiler...?

I've just realised - OU is also an abbreviation for Oxford University it's in Chambers! That works much better.

Glad I could help.

Thanks. That certainly makes much more sense.
