Puzzled by 10across, where I think I have the answer, though the parsing seems odd. cannot see 3down. Otherwise it all went in quite quickly. Plethora of anagrams, as usual.

Sorry for the duplication, you posted while I was writing mine.

3d is a 5 letter word for "stop" minus it's first letter - definition is "calm".

10a I have what I'm sure is the answer but, like you, I'm not certain of the parsing.

3d: synonym for end or vanish with the first letter removed.
10a: the first two letters are a derisive comment, a slang for a hooker. Next two letters are for excitement, etc. From this, we can guess the word.
