This is the only one that fits as the 3rd letter is L

Latest news re missing clue

from RT:

"Unfortunately there was an error during the preparation of our Prize Crossword this week which led to the line for the 1 Down clue being omitted.
Our apologies for any disappointment.
The clue should be: “Caught Welsh boy on main road returning to Roman road” (9)
We will still run the prize but will dismiss 1 down.
The closing date has been extended to 10 March
