Enjoying reading through your entries, I`m struggling to understand Paul`s @3 Fake Goddess found by temple (6) ... can someone help please?

Paul @3 ... Dev must be the goddess and Ice the temple?
Sorry - I`m even more dense than usual today!

Thanks for a good contest Tyke, and congrats to all those mentioned. I must admit when I saw the target word my first thought was, not many ways to clue for it. But then when you look harder...it's good to be taken out of your ' comfort zone ' with words you wouldn't normally try. Thanks for the clip. I think I've heard it before somewhere .......
