Just managed to finish this but am having trouble parsing these....

8,28 Cosmetic: measure of volume impressing wrinkly a lot (4,5)

The answer is clear but why "measure of volume"?

22d Fresh-faced youth is not out after bowled over (6)

Again, I have the answer but can't get a handle on the exact parsing - in particular I'm always left with the "H" unparsed!

CC is volume measure. H comes from youth with not out = yh.

In 22d, BO is bowled over.

Top foreign figure is not surprisingly being discussed (2,8)

Hi Chris, the "foreign figure" is an Italian number minus it's first letter followed by an anagram of "Is + Not" - the definition is "being discussed".

I think cinque is 5 is Italian, with top out or gone foreign.

Thanks again - finished now, though 9,10 and 4 not parsed!

4d is good one four next letters after G!
