18d is anoying me.
Some member like 6, they say (7)'.
I have the answer which fits the 'like 6' def but not the 'Some member ... they say' part.

Also, stuck on 27a 'Word-botching and the like? (11)'.
I have 'M - - - N - R - S - - '
Any tips?

(BTW, I quite liked the ironic use of '(anag.)' in 19a, thought it was funny!

27 A. Your M is wrong - the answer is the plural of a device/technique used in many cryptic crosswords (many solvers don't like them!)

PS ???? for blanks is easier to read.

D'oh. Cancel that moan about 18d. I had put in HUMDRUM which fitted my two crossers but I've just twigged the rather better actual answer!

And as a consequence I now have the (slightly questionable?) 27a!
