Can’t parse 15d and 24a!
In 15d, I think grass is ‘tare’ going up, and let me see is ‘gaum’?
In 24a, how does D becomes M in steady?

Mathi, for 15 D, the first three letters in the answer = first two words in the clue, the next three letters = the third word and the last two = the next three words.

Mathi, for 24 A - it doesn't! The 'outfit' is the four letters in the middle of the answer, the other two come from taking ('going') the 'old girlfriend' out of 'sexy'.

Ok, I get it. Didn’t know rat=grass! Thanks.

Glad I could help, Mathi. I thought 24 A was a clever clue!

Yes, that is nice parsing. I thought somehow the blue outfit there becomes as steamy in 24a. Thanks again.

I was betting that steady means old girlfriend there! That turns as wrong!

Mathi, I quite enjoy clues like this one, that initially send me off in the wrong direction.

Yes, the setters enjoy obscure definitions like rat=grass, etc! I wasn’t aware this. Though we can get the answers from the crossers, I find the parsing quite difficult sometimes.

Mathi, I've seen rat = grass lots of times, maybe it's more common in the crosswords I do.
