I am stuck with a couple of clues can anyone help?

1. When ordered and a crew will get the chaps in the mood (3, 5)
(I was wondering if it had anything to do with Glenn Millar?)

2. Everyone gathered in by a sweeper at this classsic dance venue (8)
I think the answer may be ballroom - but what has a sweeper got to do with it?

2, Everyone is "all", the sweeper is a "broom", around "all".

I have used Tap as another answer in the quiz - so I don't think its the answer here!
