13d clue: 'Prepared money for circulation'
I think it's 'ready to roll' but why?

Good morning, Joanne.

If I was to suggest that 'ready' is a colloquial form of 'ready money', then I think that everything will fall into place. We normally use the plural form - 'readies'.
