Been doing these things since I was about twenty and had never come across "got wind of" as a homophone indicator. Never too old to learn!

KT17, I think the puzzles are available online only if you're a subscriber. I'm not 100% sure, but I also think the puzzles can, like the Listener ones, be accessed on the Friday evening, before publication on the Saturday.

There have been quite a few really good puzzles recently, as well as some I haven't enjoyed quite as much.

Malone, thank you - but, and I'm sorry to be so unknowledgeable, which is the publication?

Sorry, KT17. I should have said, it's the 'I'. The Inquisitor crossword used to be in the 'Independent' newspaper - when it ceased to have a paper edition (it's got only a digital edition now), the 'i' took on the crossword. The 'i' is a small paper, both in size and circulation!
