I have come across a clue in an old crossword that I cannot parse and would be grateful for enlightenment.

The clue is 'Set to receive tablet, brandishing bottles'. I have
_e_/w_a_i_g

The answer must be get weaving. I cannot parse the second half of the clue, tablet brandishing bottles

I think it's...

Receive = Get

Brandishing = Waving... and this bottles/contains E (tablet)

From elsewhere

GET (receive) + WAVING (brandishing) around (bottles) E(cstasy) (tablet)
