Crosser, it is just an anagram - it leads to an unusual (for me) word for 'rock' (noun).

a rock or boulder that differs from the surrounding rock and is believed to have been brought from a distance by glacial action.

There are some great examples not far from me. I've given the search page as I can't find one picture that shows the full extent of the filed of erratics.

Some seem to be standing on pedestals as the rock has prevented the limestone underneath from eroding as much as the unprotected limstone
