Almost complete, but can't get a final two.
I have STA?N at 4d, and OG?E at 35a. Are these letters correct?

Could you give the clues, please? I can think of several words to fit....

Yes, your letters are correct. 35a is thematic.

Thanks for that, Jack. I thought they were both thematic, so now I have only 9 thematics and don't know where to find the 10th!

Sorry, ChrisE - you need to be tackling the puzzle because some entries need adjusting according to a theme. If 4d is not thematic, the clue is, "To row backwards at sea, sailor's on board according to nature".

Six across entries have been thematically treated, and four down ones. The only mutilated entry which is a real word is at 11a. Hope that helps...

... and I miscounted: I do have the 10. Just 35 to find...

...and got it at last with a letter at the front that I hadn't thought of before!

Excellent! The first part of 35 certainly wasn't a word that immediately sprang into my mind.

For 4d I can see how the wordplay for STARN works, but I don't see the definition, since the word means 'A star'.
