Thank you jigjag and malone. She is one determined little lady, which is fine for now, but.....

That's interesting. I have never looked it up, but I put the hyphen in to separate the double "d" which looks wrong. It's OK in Welsh, of course, and necessary, in order to distinguish "dd" from "d" and "th" - all of which have different sounds.
