i think these are the answers - dont actually have that crossword.

allonge - anagram of galleon - "A slip of paper attached to a bill of exchange for receiving indorsements, when the back of the bill itself is already full; a rider. [A French usage] --"


Tennessee - state -

ten (less than 12) ness (loch) ee (easily?)

ALLONGE - a strange word which I don't suppose that anyone would readily bring to mind. It's an anagram.

TENNESSEE - I think that you'll quickly appreciate the construct of that one.
