Any help please with 18A: Chomp veg again, it's breaking back of TV presenter (5,8) I can't think of anyone!

There's anagramming involved - two words in the clue, plus a word for 'back'. The answer is a female TV presenter.

Thanks, I've been trying to anagram chomp veg again, without success so far. Is it an English name?

Bees, you need only two of those words - and add a five-letter word for back, rear. It's definitely an English name (though the first is a shortened version...)

Oh her! I found her accent very grating, she'd probably think the same about mine. Thanks again.

A Lay preacher is an unprofessional person as in 'amateur' preacher. It's a Mat, some flooring, over Eur, half of Europe, continent.
