Anyway, 22, despite the hint I am completely at sea with this, ??t?s and l?t?s presumably and I have searched every possible moon reference, please put me out of my misery!

Sidney, Io is the moon. The other three letters are a reversed word, the opposite of 'stood' (I haven't got the clue to check the wording).

so the whole thing is letters from the language that the (moon of Saturn/rape victim of Zeus) would have spoken had she not been mythical in the first place ...
