Does anyone know if the Herald has adopted a policy of not letting previous winners get their hands on another t shirt? My last one was the final crossword of 2017. Nothing since. I had been getting one or two a year for a few years, then nothing. I don't think I have seen any of the regular names coming up either.

Would be interested to know your thoughts.

Hi pipesmoker, I get the feeling that they have adopted a postcode lottery selection scheme. i put in the 2 crosswords in Saturday Herald and the Herald on Sunday Crossword every week and it is months since I was one of the "lucky" prize winners. Maybe just me being cynical of course.

Thanks for your comments. I am not the only one to be missed out then. I used to win the Saturday one quite regularly, but there is a limit to the number of dictionaries you can find room for. Never won since the prize was changed to gin. Despite regular attempts with the Sunday crossword, not a single prize.

Anyway, there are nine t shirts for the family to argue over when I slide off the plate. Once I got the auction voucher so that cost me more than double the value of the prize.

Still shouldn't be greedy, but I am.

I felt this as well so started putting it in my daughters name and address and hey presto she won one the second week. Maybe a coincidence. Have been putting it in my sons name for the last 8 weeks but still waiting

Good idea. Maybe if I called myself Prince Andrew or some such thing, my luck would change.He might be happier being me at the moment.
