Goodness Malone!
Been a while since the Malone Times went to press, if that's the correct terminology!

Rusty, the press was in danger of getting rusty (!) but a bit of WD40 did the trick!

PS The sight of all the spam brought me out of retirement.

...and the spam's been taken off the menu/site now. Good!

Hello, Malone!
WD40 is good stuff!
Unusual to see spam late in the evening.
That's why I bumped a couple of threads above it, to make it look better.
reCaptcha has caused a big reduction in the spam.

Rusty, the spam usually pops up in the morning - the late night stuff seemed an unwelcome change.

I'm glad reCaptcha's been such a big help in repelling the pests.

Ah!
"Everyman"!
Well done, Malone!

Thanks, Rusty. 'Everyman' was the subject of the next thread down, and there seems to have been a lot of discussion on it, it certainly hadn't pleased everyone. That was my topical clue for the day!

Hello, Malone!
I like the discussion on Brendan's "Everyman" thread.
Good to see different opinions and ideas.
I do not do a Sunday puzzle, but I may have a go next Sunday, so I can understand better what folk are talking about!

Like you, I don't do 'Everyman' but I got interested in the discussions that started a few months ago, when the excellent setter retired. Some rather odd puzzles appeared, sparking much debate. Even though it's not one of 'my' crosswords, I'm glad that 'Everyman' seems to have found its feet now. I like Brendan's thread as it reminds me that views can differ so, so much!
