1 Down is an odd word, just an anagram. 1 A is a pretty straightforward definition, but it's not a word commonly used.

It's always better to give the clues - those here without a copy could help/attempt to help.

I quite enjoyed this one. I had to look up the route which was interesting. Some stops have next to no habitation nearby, only there for the huntin’, shootin’ and fishin’ brigade.
