Needed to see if anyone could solve this from a crossword book.If you dont mind please at least explain how you came up with the answer you did. Thanks!

Sue had a chestnut colt named Prince. When Prince was 20 months old, Sue began training him to jump fences. The first fence he jumped was only 30 inches high. Increasing height of the fence gradually, Sue taught him very well. At 27 months of age, Prince jumped 39 inches, at 32 months he jumped 48 inches, and at 35 months he jumped 57 inches. How old was Prince when he jumped 66 inches.

If it I a mathematical progression could be as follows.
in the 7 months from 20 to 27 he increased jump by 9 inches
next 5 months he increased jump by 9 inches
next 3 months he increased jump by 9 inches to 57
next 9 inches to 66 would therefore be after 1 month - i.e. 36 months??????
