15, A gathering is a "bee", as in sewing/spelling bee.
Go through is "use" as in use up.
Which leaves "RC" for Roman Catholic church?

Thanks, rusty. I didn't know that meaning of bee. Always wondered why a spelling bee was called that. (Not sure we have them here in the UK.)

SteveA, my gran was in a knitting bee all through my childhood. She and five or six friends knitted and nattered their way through many happy years!

Thanks elle. News to me. And now I discover "In 1876 there were newspaper reports of spelling bees in a number of towns in the United Kingdom. Since 2009, The Times newspaper has run a spelling bee for schools ..." Well, I can spell 'bee'!
