No real problems today apart from 16d (and maybe 15ac)

Being tied? Over -old 7 (7)

(The hyphen/dash is offset as above, not “over-old” or “over - old”. No ice if this is significant or not.)

I have B _N_A_E and it’s looking like BONDAGE (or possibly bandage) for “Being tied” but I can’t parse the rest of it.

The B might not be right though, I have “pebble” for the 15ac clue Chuckie but lots of other words might fit. (_E_ _ _ E) The fourth letter is the first letter of 16d

Any thoughts?

Bondage - being tied
Bond (James - OO7)
old - age

The other seems to be pebble

Pebble is used in the game of chuck-stones, so I think this has some connection with chuckle meaning a pebble ?

Why is 14A (Nonchalant face) DIAL? Where's the nonchalant, or is it just a loose way of implying informality?
