7, "Crew" is "man".
Raise the last letter.
"Mna" , alternate spelling of "mina", a Greek sum of money.

7d MNA (Greek = 100 drachmas)

CREW = MAN (Raised last letter up one in down clue = NMA - I think!)

Sorry, the last A should be raised up one, giving MNA as I initially put.

6, "Tamis" is a strainer, but I can't see the parse?

Nice one, Rusty! I'd got nowhere with that.
Oh, and you too, Brendan.

Rusty, my post was about Mna. Your Tamis looks good - I, of course, can't parse it!

Thanks Malone,

I have to admit I'm clueless about the other one. I've even gone back and looked at TM 20,227 to try and get a feel for the wordplay employed, but I've come up empty:-(

You're welcome, Brendan. I like Rusty's Tamis. All I can see is that 'am' and 'tis' can both mean 'to be', in the clue.
