Hi everybody

For some mysterious reason I have been offline all afternoon so couldn't follow the forum entries. I've been plugging away at the answers and made some progress on LHS, but struggling with RHS.

Please can I have some hints for the non special ones. I think it would help if I got 9d and 16ac. I won't repeat the clues as I don't know where they split.

I did finally sort out the right anagram for 1d LHS by getting some crossers, though I'm not sure about my answer to 12ac RHS.

9 anagram of seed & synonym of hole

16 definition is excessive

12 definition is reminders

For 9 you then need to add the extra letter

And also for 16a you need to anagram the solution and add the extra letter

I got 16ac LHS, but RHS 16ac is a problem. I came up with a word I'd never heard of meaning fat, but it gives me a probelm with 13d RHS. I can't think of any words that begin P?H??????? Are my crossers right.

Is 22ac on the RHS a saint? I have an answer, but can't work it back to the original clue before adding the letter.

I still haven't cracked both 9ds, I can't think of an appropriate synonym for hole to anagram with seed.

the hole occurs in a volcano. I am stuck on 10, 4 and 20 (Left) and 18 (Right)

22 (right) - Far-off + letter for square gives a word used in America for broadcasts outside the studio (really just a plural of the original word.) Then add the letter

I can't help you with the Left ones - I haven't got them either.

For 18 right you need a synonym for pedlar hidden in the rest of the clue. Add the extra letter and anagram. I hope that helps.
