Numbers... I don't do numbers, but am sure many other solvers do.

I can usually do the numericals but am struggling even to get started here. Can anyone tell me (or hint) where to find the way in, please?

Cloverjo, I’ve bumped the thread so that you can find some helpful hints on last week’s numerical puzzle. The first posts are about the endgame, which is brilliant, but from number 14 onwards there is some useful guidance for someone trying to get started.

Thank rad. I didn’t want to look on the other thread because of spoiling the endgame. I’ll know where to start now.
