I don't see how that answer is derived from that clue - anyone able to offer enlightenment?

I know the wine, AJT - like a certain spread, it can arouse contrasting reaction in its drinkers. What I could not see was the Caribbean nor the cases - though I suppose wine can come in cases..

Twm - I took it as meaning that the word was contained in the phrase. If it's meant to mean the wine, though, I feel that there should have been an indication - but we do speak of "a nice little red"
