4 Across :- "Clocked if this would be locked?" (8) U---E-E-

Unopened, (c)locked.

Hello, Ginge - I thought of this for "locked" but didn't see the "clocked" part of it. This would give me an "O" for 5 Down, which is:- "A man makes dinner for these ladies" (8) O-R-S-E-

I've just realised "unopened" also meant the first letter of "clocked" was missing, so that's OK. Just need the one down now.

Ogresses, a cryptic definition ?
