Clever puzzle , but I have a problem with the definition for 27 AC ( carriage for one). I have the solution and understand the wordplay but could someone explain the definition please.

TonyNannini, the definition is in my Oxford Dictionary of English (3rd edition).

Glad I could help. And to be honest, I'd stuck the answer in earlier myself without confirming its definition! (' A carriage drawn by three horses,two abreast and one leader.')

How does blue fit in? In other words what is the extra letter in 27!
Struggling to get started, have the big one on left, so a nudge on other would be great, 11d?

Lumen, I worked backwards for some of my answers - because I got the letters. I'll have another look at 27.

11 D. Someone with a habit gives a three-letter word, from which one letter is dropped. Then a nine-letter word for money, in general terms. 'Wasted' is the definition to the clue.

I thought blue might be porn, so extra letter P.

Thanks both. I was thinking porn is a noun and blue is an adjective but if P is correct, then it must be!

Lumen, Chambers describes 'porn' as an adjective.
