Times Cryptic Jumbo 25a "I'm taking queen for in for card game...(7). I have P*I*E*O" so assume it's "PRIMERO", a card game. I can see "I'm" and "Queen" (IM + ER) but that just leaves "PR----O". I've always been a bit confused by "..." in clues - assumed it means the two clues (in this case this one and 26a "One completely spoiled for us" (3,5) (no idea!) are vaguely related, but am none the wiser. HELP!!!!

"for us" spoiled, is "fours".
"Completely" could be "all"
All fours ?

PRO is "for", as in "In favour of".
btw you don't need to start another thread on the same puzzle - just add the new question to the bottom and the thread will be "bumped up" to the top of the list

ALL FOURS is another old card game, I think...

"Pro" means "for".

Mine @4 was just intended to amplify on rusty's solution (which I'm sure is right). "Run-on" clues often don't - it's just for the surfaces - but these two do seem to be related.
