orphan is an anag of the letters left when you take out "sweets"

"whose parents" have no "sweets" means take away the letters s w e e t & s leaving "ho parn" an anagram of "orphan".
Annie = little orphan annie or "annie" (the musical)which may be the same thing for all I know.
