Just wanted to share what I thought was a great clue in yesterday’s Sunday Tines;


I like love (3)

A variation on John Henderson's 'I say nothing', but with (for me, anyway) a much weaker surface.

Would one of you gentlemen be kind enugh to give the answer?

I'm no "gentleman", Ros!

But the answer is "ego"

I like love (3)
ego = I (def)
eg - like
o - love

I thought of that (since the answer seemed likely to end with o) but couldn't get it.

I'm having to see lots of tractors, steps and parking meters today

Now that is odd, Ros........because I am suddenly experiencing just the reverse !

After suffering for ages at the hand of Recaptcha, I haven't had to count a single item of anything for nearly two weeks now!

All I do is tick a box!

Both good clues but I think I prefer the second version.
