I'm up to date for a change...well until the postman pushes no 30 through the letter box. For once i found it quite straightforward! BUT. Could someone try and explain 24ac Knight in Lancaster was on fire. (5) A mile up the road is the Metropolitan borough of Bury, in some abomination called Greater Manchester. It is a town in what used to be Lancashire and still is in the county palatine of Lancaster. The loyal toast here is still the Queen the Duke of Lancaster. Anyway that gives me BURY, add an N and I have BURNY!!! I'm not having that with that clue. So I've got BURNT but that doesn't really work either. Have I gone wrong?

Duh! Thanks Mamya. Sometimes one doesn't see the wood for the trees. Going back to bed now. See if I can another couple of hours. Been awake for long enough.
