50 introduced to remarkably special food flavouring (8)

I had thought it was an anagram of "special" along with an "L" for 50
but the inclusion of 2 A s in my answers knocks that on the head.
There is always the possibility of my answers being wrong, but I can justify them well.

To Ranger and Ixion - thank you so much for taking the trouble to reply. The answer was, indeed, "Allspice".

The "A" which I incorrectly had as the 3rd letter was from the word "After". It should have been an "L" from "Later". The mistake is very clear to me now - thanks to you all.
