It can't be too hot too think as I've managed about two-thirds of this, but the bottom left corner is proving obstinate.

25 Condenser, could it add to the charge (I take it it's a machine, device?) Con = criminal, Dens = retreats (noun) and ER is the outer letters (coat) of Engineer.

32 Mock orange, brush (plant). Mock = Take off, O = over and Range - area of grassland.

41 Cost The Earth, proved extremely expensive.
Cos = Because
T - last letter of 'airport' (airport's close)
The Earth, our home.

Glad it wasn’t just me . I thought this was a bit of a stinker today with some very chewy wordplay and tricky vocabulary.
