I have a complaint against 3d - it's only half of a joint. It's a group read upwards.
18d not a bird, more a circus act. Plural figures.

I think I've got 18d, though I can't quite parse it.

You can get the end from "final".

I haven't managed to crack 3d, but I've been watching Montalbano and it is time for bed, so I'm giving up now.
