I must be very dense but am having trouble with 2 clues:

20A - … in 24 once off & on (3) R- -
(This follows:
19A - Beef or bird … (6) to which I have answered GROUSE,
24D - (Topless 14) box to which I have answered ARK, and
14D - Diaries about Liberal PM to which I have answered DISRAELI)

I thought ROW or REE.

15D - Chief's chief attendant (8) - E - - - M - N

The last letter of 20A is the 4th of 15D.

15d, Henchman.

Ta. I don't quite see how that fits, though chief man could certainly be 'ch man'. That means then that 20A must be ROC.
