Very easy to complete, but a couple I can't parse. Any hints, please? (For fear of spoiling, I won't give the crossers.)

25a Criminal's basic characteristics seen in Leave voter (9)
I have the definition and the basic characteristics, but I don't see why the rest is "Leave voter"

4d Footballers can spin with wrong turns (9)
Only one word seems to fit, and they could be footballers, but I can't see anything else

4d 3 letter word for can (lavatorially) 2 letters for spin 4 letters for wrong, all reversed

A “kipper” seems to be an acceptable shortening, I think!

I'm having trouble with 15ac. I have most of the crossers apart from 16d, which I haven't solved yet. Any hints on the definition please.

15a is better known as a composer! I had to Google to find out its location.
