First unaided complete solve in months but can't parse
1a Foreign article covering a sport. Ans is lacrosse . There's a "le" a "le" a "a" but can't get there.
23a Boyfriend chasing former PA. Ans is old man. Not sure if boyfriend =old man or pa =old man but either way can't see it .
28a Feel aggrieved at being powerless here. Answer is resent but can't get the "at being powerless here",

I thought 23a was a very weak clue in a rather lacklustre puzzle.
