15a Hammer - ding is a Scots word meaning to knock, beat or strike. Throwing the hammer is a sport (contest)

I think 7d is Incomer, but can't totally parse it

14d Brown plaid (7)

I have B- - C - E -

The B and the C I’m pretty sure about. The E comes from 24ac for which I have ENOKI which fits the clue well but seems to lack any definition.

14d Bracken is a brown colour. It's also a variant of brechan, a highland plaid.
