Clue 2 down: Entitled to have these disappointments (but not statutory) (3-6)

Answer seems to be non-events, but I do not see the entitled and not statutory parts of the clue.

How about let-downs? Entitled - let, disappointments - downs. The "not statutory" to oppose the "entitled"?

Thanks AJT for your prompt reply. Does seem a weak clue to me. I still think that I am missing something. Is the whole clue the definition?

It isn't a good clue - the definition is supposed to be the first or the last part; whether the brackets make a difference, I don't know. Have you got any letters?

Looking at it again, I think "disappointments" must be the definition, and the brackets refer to them.

I think it is Non Event

I also had 'non-events' and 'let-downs' doesn't fit the (3-6) pattern.
