Not sure if intended, or an error - names to be entered in perimeter sum to 50 characters as per preamble, whereas perimeter comprises 52 lights. I'm working on the basis that it is intended; any thoughts to the contrary, please?

The preamble says where the names start... but not where they finish. I've not got my copy to hand, so can't quote the actual wording.

the 2 squares to the left of the 6 where the perimeter answers start aren't included in the 50

The 'organ' isn't musical or medical - more the media!
'Hotel-dieu finally excised' = remove something, 'busy' indicates an anagram.

Never heard of this crew (other anagrams are available) but they produced some great stuff
